Abortion and Infertility Problem Cause Mental Stress in Women

ABORTION AND INFERTILITY PROBLEM CAUSE MENTAL STRESS IN WOMEN:

The COVID-19 or CORONA Virus had spread from the Wuhan province of the Republic of China in December 2019. So many people have lost their lives because of this dangerous disease. The people of the USA, Spain, and Italy are badly affected. The virus is also spread in India. Nepal is not untouched from this health crisis. The medicine and vaccines are not still found by the World Health Organization (WHO). Republic China has become success to control this virus through effective implementation of lockdown.

The government of Nepal has declared to be locked down from 11th Chaitra of 2076 BS. Today is the 60th day of lockdown. In this pandemic situation people got the opportunity to gather together and share experiences among the family member. Fortunately people get sufficient time to dare, care and rare together. In this situation women have faced some health problems. I am going to share my experience in this article which I have gained from several women across the country.

I have written this article based on my mini research, about the mental problem of women based on my experience.  Women want a nuclear family to be more happy and healthy at the present time. Most of the women have been suffering from abortion and infertility health insecurity at present. I have an example of the health problem of women regarding abortion and infertility. A baby girl born in the well to do family in a remote village of Nepal. Her parents want to marry her before adolescence. The wrong concept about marriage before the first menstruation can be still found in some parts of Nepal. This is a natural process that every woman has an internal desire to become a mother. The same thing occurs in the mind of that woman as a dream. Misfortunately, her dream does not come true. She does not get baby because of several problems i.e early marriage, abortion, and the use of family planning measures for a long period of time.

For this mini research I have met and consulted several renounced and well-experienced physicians. Dr. Bhola Rijal, Dr. Jageswor Gautam, Dr.Nutan Pradhan, Dr. Aakirti, and Dr. Uma Shribastab are a few of them.  According to these doctors, early marriage, late marriage, insecure abortion, illiteracy, poverty, and unemployment are some reasons for this problem.

Moreover, late marriage and infection of the womb are the more serious case of infertility. They further put that among 100 patients at least 15 % of women have such infertility problems.  This article shows that late marriage decreases the capacity of production of ovum which directly influences reproduction. Similarly, because of the infection of the womb, the problem of production of ovum and infection of the fallopian tubes are some problems. Because of such a problem the ovum fertilizes in the fallopian tube in the presence of sperm. Sometimes fallopian tubes break itself and there is a danger of the health of women. Most women have lost their lives because of such serious problems.

I am going to share another example of the same health problem of females. Once I got an opportunity to visit Dhangadhi, Kailai last year. The same infertility problem is shared by a working woman who is a residence of Bhansar Road of Dhangadhi Kailali. The woman has been living with her family. She does not give birth to the baby after the five years of her marriage. Her husband always drinks alcohol and bits her regularly. Other family members of her scold and give torture in the name of infertility and reproduction. Finally, her husband gets a second marriage with the next woman. Without checking up her health her husband rejected her and also takes out from the house. Nowadays, she lives on the street and she also started to drink to forget all pain, misery, and discomforts.

The next representative woman is from the Kathmandu district of Nepal. She is a permanent teacher of a community school of Kathmandu by her profession.  She gets married at the age of 18 from her parents. Perhaps, she becomes pregnant within two months of her marriage. Her family members didn't care about her. She did not have any experience with her first pregnancy. She does all kinds of tasks outside and inside the home. Even she did not get the opportunity to regularly check up to her health. Unfortunately, the pregnancy was in the fallopian tube she knows when she went to the hospital at last. Her first pregnancy miscarries from there.  She never gets improvements from this problem rather she becomes weaker and weaker day by day. There is a great problem in her health because of the wrong pregnancy.

The survival of life is very few. Dr. Jageswor Gautam and his team become success to save her life after the operation of this tube pregnancy. She gets serious mental problems from this case. Her family members don’t care for her properly. Nowadays, even her own parents don’t care about her. Some people say her infertile woman and some say a barren woman and others say the lady of not having reproductive capacity. After five years she again becomes pregnant and she checks in time unfortunately the pregnancy is in the same case as in the previous. By operating next time her life saves but there is always a question to become a mother. Because of her both fallopian tube are operated by the doctors two times still her present time. Now the health problem creates mental stress at present. She does not have bright sides in her life but never gives up her hope and courage. Being a teacher she collects so many experiences, ideas, through her reading habit of several books. In her professional life she gets several hurdles being a female teacher by birth.

In working place as well, the people who have power, access, and good relation with the administration they get proper justice, help, and cooperation other people victimized in the same place.

Here, this article also shows that the working place also creates mental stress for the women as well. Most of the women workers are in the problem of mental depression either they are educated or uneducated in this present era. This article or study shows that infertility and abortion bring mental stress in women. This pandemic situation is very boring which also creates mental depression among the people. Therefore, regular exercise, lifestyle, food items, and the correct use of technology can maintain health disorders. In this lockdown period we should follow the suggestion given by doctors to be safe from the COVID 19.
