Overview

Dhaulagiri Deaf Residential Secondary School was established in 2007 (2064 BS) as an inclusive community managed formal deaf school located in Baglung Municipality, Baglung Bazar, Baglung district, Gandaki Pradesh, Nepal. It is an approval granted by the District Education Office (DEO) in Baglung and affiliated to the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT).

It offers 3 years Diploma in Computer Engineering under the TECS program in 2017 and under the School Management Committee. Initially, it was started with 24 deaf students in 2007 A.D and now the school comprises 230 total students where 207 deaf and 23 are hearing students. They are all residential and 40 students from different districts and 1 student from India as well as to receive a free normal education. The school provides free food, uniforms, and stationeries. The Nepal government grants fund annually 6 million regularly against scholarship and also provide salaries for 14 teachers, 2 accountants, 1 hostel warden, 5 caretakers, 1 nurse, and 1 driver.

Dhaulagiri Deaf Residential Secondary School (DDRSS) provides Classrooms, Hostel, Cafeteria, Computer Lab, Science Lab, Multimedia, Conference Hall, freeship, Counseling, Extra-curricular Activities (ECA), Sports, Counselling, Conference, Excursion Educational tours, and scholarships facilities.
