Overview

Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus (RR Campus) was established on 4 Bhadra, 2018 BS (20 August 1961 AD), as a public campus on Exhibition Road (Pradarshanimarga) in Kathmandu, Nepal. Initially, it was named Ratna Rajya Laxmi Girls’ College. The campus occupies about eight Ropanis of land, with Exhibition Road to the East, Adwaitmarga to the West, Kathmandu Model Hospital to the North, and Law Campus to the South. It is one of the constituent campuses of Tribhuvan University.

On those days, classes were conducted only during the morning shift. It offered Intermediate of Arts Courses with various Humanities and Social Sciences majors. In the higher caste families, girls of Kathmandu Valley received an education. During Girls’ College, it upgraded to BA level in 2021 BS. The college's location was shifted from Putali Sadak to Pradarsani Marga in 2024 BS, which stands proudly to this date, catering to invaluable knowledge in various Humanities and Social Sciences fields. Since 2024 BS, Ratna Rajya Laxmi Girls’ College has been affiliated with Tribhuvan University. In 2025, it became multiple colleges as it added management programs and humanities courses. It ran a Management program up to 2030 BS.

The college became co-ed and was made open to all Nepalese families by changing it from Ratna Rajyalaxmi Girls’ College to Ratna Rajyalaxmi Campus in 2031 BS. It later became popularized as RR Campus. By 2031, Ratna Rajya Laxmi Campus became well-known as the center of Humanities and Social Sciences, a renowned constituent campus of Tribhuvan University. The number of students so grew that Ratna Rajyalaxmi Campus ran IA classes in three shifts with varieties of majors to address the student pressure since 2037 B.S. Humanities and social sciences courses thrived with the scintillating image of Ratna Rajyalaxmi Campus in the three different shifts.
