Overview
Nepal Investment Bank Limited (NIBL) (Nepali: नेपाल ईन्भेष्टमेन्ट बैंक लिमिटेड) was established in 1986 AD as a joint venture between Nepalese and French partners. Previously, previously Nepal Indosuez Bank Limited and the French partner (holding 50% of the capital of NIBL) was Credit Agricole Indosuez, a subsidiary of one of the largest banking group in the world.
In 2002 a group of Nepalese companies including of bankers, professionals, businessmen, and industrialists acquired the 50% shareholding of Credit Agricole Indosuez in Nepal Indosuez Bank Limited, and accordingly, the name of the Bank also changed to Nepal Investment Bank Limited (NIBL).NIBL is the largest 'A' Class commercial bank in Nepal licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank.
At present, the NIBL’s shareholding pattern is 69% with Promoters and 31% with General Public. NIBL is managed by a team of experienced bankers and professionals having confirmed track record.
NIBL was founded with the key objective to develop a customer-oriented service culture with special emphasis on customer-care and convenience.
