Overview
Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SLBSL) is one of the Microfinance Institutions and licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank as a 'D' class financial institution on 2014 April 13 to operate under the bank and financial institutions act 2013. The central office of Samudayik Laghubitta is located at Banepa Municipality, ward no. 14, Kavrepalanchowk district of Nepal.
SLBSL started a formal microfinance institution from 14th July 2014. Before it was established as an NGO (Women Development Center of Nepal-WDCN), which carried out earlier its own microfinance activities in six districts including Kavrepalanchowk district. Thus, as an initiative of WDCN and with the help from various promoters, SLBSL was established.
As SLBSL is one of the financial service providers in Nepal, It simply provides small loans to the people of remote areas for their income-generating businesses. As a financial institution, It promises to serve in very remote and unreached areas of various districts of Nepal.

The company had been established having a spirit to spread of microcredit services to the unreached and backward people to uplift them towards their business promotion and a good/regular income-generating activities like buffalo keeping, goat keeping, aggro based business, pig farming, small shops, trades, hotels, wholesale business, vegetable farming, microenterprises and many more.
The services have reached in ten districts (Kavrepalanchowk, Sindhupalchowk, Ramechhap, Okhaldhunga, Solukhumbu, Khotang, Bhojpur, Dolakha, Sankhuwasabha and Nuwakot districts) at present. Soon SLBSL is planning to extend the program in five more districts. And in the recent future, SLBSL is extending as a national level microfinance institution.
