Tribhuvan University and Kathmandu University have declared the result of MBBS level entrance examination under medical education. According to the results published today, Bishal Basnet of Morang has the highest score of Tribhuvan University with 92 and Umesh Kumar of Sarlahi with 89.
Similarly, Bishal Mandal and Devnarayan Shah brought 90 and 88 marks respectively to Kathmandu University. About 19 thousand students have participated in the entrance examination taken by the two universities for MBBS for medical education, 8 thousand 756 have passed.
The IOM conducted the same examination on Ashoj 3 and Kathmandu University conducted the examinations on Ashoj 4. There were four thousand 269 students in the TU and four thousand 487 students under Kathmandu University.
The lowest passing percentage for both universities was 50. Both of them will be teaching MBBS level at 22 colleges of the University.
The Council of Ministers meeting of Ashoj 28, 2075, had fixed the fees for MBBS and BDS for undergraduate level under medical education. For MBBS, Rs 38 lakh 50 thousand has been fixed in Kathmandu Valley and Rs 42 lakh 45 thousand outside the valley and Rs 19 lakh 32 thousand 612 for BDS program.
