Historical background:
Impressed by the ideology and ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, probably the world's first user of the non-violent movement, Tulsimehar Shrestha announced by the then King His Majesty Tribhuvan the 56 Ropani lands provided by the then Government of Matrika Prasad Koirala at Manohara, located in Gothatar, Kathmandu. Immediately after the Rana period, the "genital prison" has been built in this place By the decision of the Council of Ministers, Tulsi Maher appears to have been available for use in the social welfare work in 2010 BS. The main goal of Tulsimehar was to promote women's education for women's self-reliance and awareness, the production of household goods using locally available raw materials and the upliftment of allegedly lower class and community and caste women in the society.
Gandhi Adarsh Mahila Vidyalaya Bhavan was established on 2010-10-20 from then King Tribhuvan in the place of the present Kageshwari Manohara Municipality - 9 in the main initiative of Tulsi Meher after the transformation of the year 2007 BS.
Though initially chaired by Tulsi Meher, the school remained under the government of Nepal after the implementation of the new education system in the year 2028 BS (1971 A.D.). At present, all the stakeholders, including intellectuals, educators, social workers, and politicians, in this area, have contributed to the development and expansion of this school which will carry out teaching activities till Class 12. Although there was an entrepreneurially-opened school providing education for women in the early years, skillful training was also provided in the 2014 BS after the construction and management of the building. The school has been enrolling students in the 2018 BS BS and has been enrolling students in the entrance exam (SLC) since the 2019 BS. Having celebrated the Golden Festival of its founding on 2060-10-21, the school has been producing the necessary manpower for the country, society, and community till now and has also achieved its distinct popularity in this field.

School community:
Around the school and within its service area, there are people of different religions, different castes, and different languages. In this region where social harmony and cultural tolerance are maintained, the prevalence of Brahman (Dahal, Chapagai, Sanjel, Pudasaini, etc.), Chhetri (Thapa, Khadka, Rayamajhi, Basnet, etc.), Purkuti, Mangrati, Bishunkhe, Thapamgar, etc. have been prevalent in recent times. Due to the increasing number of people belonging to different ethnicities and linguists, the multilingual and multicultural scene can be seen in the school. Constantly. In this community, which incorporates agriculture as a major profession 20-22 years ago, the addition of employment areas to the community seems to have raised the economic status of the people. Although most of the children studying in the school are parents and domestic workers living in this area, the social status of the students is very low even though the social, cultural and linguistic combination of the students is strong.
Definition of service area:
In most Kathmandu Valley community schools, children and parents of parents living in the area, legally prohibiting parents from living on wages and the state are legally forbidden, but some of the people of the society are kept as domestic laborers by the practice of keeping domestic workers who are still living due to the common man's mood.
