This notice is published to inform all interested students who meet the minimum educational qualifications to study the 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture (B.Sc. Ag. Hons.) under the Faculty of Agriculture at Madhesh Agricultural University, Rajbiraj, Saptari, for the academic year 2081/082. Applications can be submitted online starting from 2081/05/19.

Applicants must submit their academic transcripts and citizenship certificates along with the online application form. Those applying under various quotas must scan and submit relevant certificates or recommendation letters, along with a recent passport-sized photo (1 copy) showing both ears.

Applicants who have passed their qualification from foreign institutions (excluding Nepal) must submit an equivalence certificate at the time of admission.

1) Online Application Process:

Applicants can only fill out the form online at http://entrance.mau.edu.np/. If any documents or information provided are found to be false or incomplete, the application will be disqualified.

2) Minimum Educational Qualification Requirements:

(a) Students applying for admission must have passed SEE or an equivalent exam with at least second division or a 'C' grade. They must have completed I.Sc. (Science, Agriculture, Animal, Forestry) or 10+2 (Science or Agriculture) with subjects including English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. They must have scored at least 50% of total marks or a 'C' in the aggregate under the Letter Grading System, with a GPA of 2.0. In the case of students who have studied Agriculture in 10+2 but do not have Mathematics marks on the transcript, they must upload an additional marksheet showing Mathematics. If the marks are in percentage, it should be 50%, or if in Letter Grading, a 'C' or GPA 2.4 is required.

(b) If there is no aggregate transcript of 10+2, only the transcript of Class 12 will be considered. Those with only a Class 12 transcript must also upload the marksheet of Class 11 in PDF format.

(c) If the application form is filled without meeting the qualification requirements, it will be disqualified, and the applicant will not be allowed to take the entrance examination.

3) Application and Examination Fees:

The entrance exam fee is NPR 2,000, which can be paid online. Visit the Madhesh Agricultural University website http://entrance.mau.edu.np/ and click on the online payment button. Payments can only be made through e-sewa or Khalti. After payment, use the voucher code to fill out the entrance exam form.

4) Application Dates and Times:

Online applications can be submitted 24/7 from 2081/05/19 until midnight on 2081/06/10. In case of any difficulty with the online application process, applicants can contact mausaptari@gmail.com or call 031-590555 during office hours for technical assistance.

5) Admit Card Distribution:

After the deadline for filling out the online application form, applicants can download their admit card on the date of publication through the online system. Applicants must open any browser, visit http://entrance.mau.edu.np, click on "Check Your Status," enter their information, and download the admit card. It is mandatory to print the admit card in color.

6) Examination Paper and Details:

The entrance examination will consist of 100 multiple-choice objective questions from the subjects listed below at the certificate level/10+2. The duration of the exam will be 1 hour and 30 minutes. The subjects for the exam questions will be announced after the deadline for the online application form. The exam date and center will be determined by the Faculty of Agriculture, Madhesh Agricultural University, Rajbiraj, Saptari, and communicated via www.mau.edu.np.

7) Admission Criteria and Result Publication:

The admission will be based 100% on the entrance examination score. A merit order list will be prepared based on this score, and the list of selected candidates will be published. The minimum passing score for the entrance exam is 40%. In case of a tie, priority will be given based on the total score (CGPA) in I.Sc. / 10+2, and if still tied, the marks obtained in SEE / SLC in Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics will be considered. The result and merit list will also be published on the university's website. The decision of the university, faculty, or admission committee will be final.

8) Quota (Merit and Reserved Quota) Classification:

Among the candidates passing the entrance exam, 10 will be selected from the merit quota. Additionally, 1 student will be selected from each of the following reserved categories: Madhesh Province, Dalit, Indigenous Nationalities, Tharu, Muslim, Economically Disadvantaged Khas Arya, Disabled, Martyr Family, Conflict Victims, Female, Staff, and Local Quota, making a total of 11 students. Additionally, 1 student will be selected under the University and College Development Fund (UDF/CDF) quota, bringing the total number of students to 50 as per the specified table.

Requirements for Provincial Quota Admissions:

To apply under the Provincial Quota, both the permanent address and the community school attended must be within the same province. Students applying under the Madhesh Province quota must submit a recommendation letter from the relevant municipality or village council office of Madhesh Province. Students wishing to apply for quotas, except for the Female Quota, must submit valid certificates or recommendation letters from the relevant authorities according to the prescribed format. Failure to do so will result in the rejection of the application. Admissions will be based on the entrance exam ranking and qualifications in all quotas.

(a) Madhesh Province Quota: A certified certificate from the local government or the District Administration Office of Madhesh Province.

(b) Dalit Quota: A certified certificate from the National Dalit Commission or the local government/District Administration Office.

(c) Indigenous and Tharu Quota: A certified certificate from the Indigenous Nationalities Federation or the Tharu Commission, or listed ethnicity certificates from the District Administration Office.

(d) Muslim Quota: A certified certificate from the National Muslim Commission or the local government/District Administration Office.

(e) Economically Disadvantaged Khas Arya: A certified certificate from the relevant authority or local government/District Administration Office.

(f) Disabled Quota: A certified certificate from the Ministry of Women, Children, and Senior Citizens or from the local authority.

(g) Martyr Family Quota: A recommendation letter proving the relationship (spouse, son, or daughter) from the District Administration Office and the relevant ministry of the Nepal Government.

(h) Conflict Victim Family Quota: A recommendation letter proving the relationship (spouse, son, or daughter) from the District Administration Office and the relevant ministry of the Nepal Government.

(i) Staff Quota: A certified copy of the citizenship certificate proving the relationship (spouse, son, or daughter) of the staff member, along with a recommendation from the head of the department.

(j) Local Quota: A recommendation letter confirming local residency from the local government where the faculty of agriculture is located in Rajbiraj Municipality.
