The Dilliraman-Kalyani Regmi Memorial Library Development Committee, under the aegis of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Nepal, is proud to announce an exciting essay competition. This competition is a platform for aspiring writers and thinkers to showcase their talents and contribute their perspectives on a topic of significant cultural importance.

Eligibility and Prizes

  • Who Can Participate: This competition is open exclusively to Nepali citizens who are under 40 years of age. Additionally, participants are required to have completed at least their graduation.
  • Attractive Prizes: The competition boasts impressive rewards for the top three essays. The first prize is Rs. 25,000/-, followed by Rs. 20,000/- for the second place, and Rs. 15,000/- for the third.

Essay Guidelines

  • Topic Focus: The theme of the essay is "Library for Generations". It is an opportunity to delve into the role and importance of libraries in shaping and preserving the cultural and educational heritage of Nepal.
  • Word Limit: Submissions should be well-thought-out essays ranging from 2,500 to 3,500 words.
  • Language Requirement: The essay must be written in standard Nepali language, allowing participants to express their ideas in a language that resonates with the national ethos.

  • Deadline for Submission: Participants have 35 days from the date of this notice to submit their essays.
