Disaster Management Awareness Program Launched at Janaprakash Multiple Campus

On Thursday, a pivotal disaster management awareness program was conducted at Janaprakash Multiple Campus, a notable community campus nestled in the heart of Bhandardhik. This initiative was an effort to reduce the potential impact of unforeseen calamities on the students, faculty, staff, and local residents who frequent the campus.

The program was orchestrated by the Janaprakash Multiple Campus management with significant technical backing from the Armed Police Force No. 24 Battalion Headquarters Kalika Kaski. The financial aspect was handled proficiently by Global IME Bank.

Emphasizing Preparedness and Safety

Ganpati Dhan Bahadur Baniyan of Kalika Gana lauded the program and its initiative, emphasizing that such awareness sessions are crucial to mitigating damage during disasters. The program aims to:

The Program's Layout

The event was split into two stages, meticulously planned to maximize engagement and impact. The first stage was held in the auditorium of the campus where Rishiram Budhathoki, the campus head of Janaprakash Multiple Campus, delivered the reception. Assisting him was Arjun Ojha, the assistant campus head.

In the second stage, the program shifted gears to Mandhare Park, Pokhara-31 Begnastal. Ravi Prasad Kandel, the chairman of the ferry operators' committee, and Mahendra Prasad Adhikari, the acting chairman of Pokhara 31, were the key speakers, contributing their knowledge and experiences to the awareness program.

Representatives from various organizations voiced their support for the program. Former Chairman of the Board of Directors Krishnahari Bhandari and Inspector Umesh Dhakal of the Armed Police Force Kalika Gana were among those who addressed the participants.
