Gandaki Province Academy of Science and Technology (GPAST) invites you to join Pokhara Science Dialogue - Episode 29 on October 28, 2024, at the GPAST Admin Hall. This event will focus on the theme, “Climate Resilience Should Be the Spirit of Scientific Research – Sharing Examples and Experiences”. The session will feature Dr. Pushpa Raj Acharya, a distinguished Assistant Professor of Biology at the Graduate School of Science and Technology, Mid-West University.

About Dr. Pushpa Raj Acharya:

Academic Background:

Dr. Acharya began his studies at Prithvi Narayan Campus, Pokhara, completing his intermediate and bachelor's degrees in science. He specialized in Ecology with a master’s degree in Zoology and earned his PhD from Prince of Songkla University, Thailand. His research focused on bat fauna's ecology and ecosystem services in agricultural areas.

Key Contributions:

He has been instrumental in developing master plans for Mahendra Cave and Bat Cave in Pokhara-16. At Mid-West University, Dr. Acharya is actively involved in climate-resilient research projects, promoting collaborative efforts to identify innovative, sustainable practices.
