Holi Festival

Happy Holi - Let's Celebrate and Enjoy:

Holi, the festival of colors, is being celebrated today. This festival is celebrated on the full moon day of Phagun Shukla. Today, Holi is being celebrated in mountainous and hilly districts.

Holi i.e. Phagu festival is an ancient tradition of celebrating different colors. Although Holi is celebrated in the mountains and hills today, it is celebrated in the Terai districts on Monday.

Stating that the second wave of Corona may start this year, the government has urged not to overcrowd and to play with colors only by adopting health precautions.

In the Treta era, Daityaraja Hiranyakashyapu forced his sister Holika, who had received the gift of untouchable fire from Brahma, to enter the blazing fire with Prahlada with the intention of killing his son Prahlada; But the story that the devotee Prahlad could not be touched by the fire is connected with the Holi festival.

It is believed that the tradition of celebrating Holi (Fagu) on the occasion of the death of Holika, a symbol of a sinful tendency to abuse power, has been going on since that time.

In Nepal, which has a majority of Hindus, Holi is celebrated from East Mechi to West Mahakali. With special cultural events and a rain of colors on top of that, the city's Holi still looks fun and good. Holi is also celebrated with great pomp in the villages of Nepal.
