Orientation Program for Journalism and Mass Communication MPhil-PhD Students at Tribhuvan University
The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication under Tribhuvan University conducted an orientation program for MPhil-PhD students.
The orientation program was held on Monday, July 22, 2024, at the Camera Building in Balkhu, under the active leadership of the department head, Dr. Kundan Aryal. During the program, Dr. Prem Sagar Chapagain shed light on the MPhil-PhD curriculum and the responsibilities of the students.
He stated that the MPhil-PhD course is about conducting research to achieve new accomplishments. As the MPhil course is a preparatory course for PhD, students must be diligent in their studies. He provided insights on study methods and procedures.
Dr. Kundan Aryal, the head of the department, emphasized that MPhil-PhD students must be responsible and diligent. He advised students to prepare themselves accordingly, as society has high expectations from MPhil-PhD students.
Anita Bhattarai, the head of Tribhuvan University Central Library, provided information about the services offered by the library. She informed that becoming a member of the library allows access to national and international books and journals. She highlighted the necessity of library membership for research students.
The event was attended by Dr. Devaraj Aryal, Dr. Rajkumar Pokharel, Dr. Mahendra Bista, Dr. Ghamraj Luintel, Professor Shashinath Marasini, and MPhil-PhD students.
