International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD 2023) in Pokhara, Nepal Call for Paper

The International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD 2023) will be held on 23-24 June 2023 in Pokhara, Nepal. The conference is organized by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Pokhara University, in collaboration with the University Grant Commission, Bhaktapur, Nepal, the Institute for Integrated Development Studies (IIDS), Kathmandu, Nepal, and the School of Development and Social Engineering, Pokhara University.

Keynote Speakers

The conference will feature two keynote speakers: Dr. Swarnim Wagle, Chair of IIDS and former Vice Chair of National Planning Commission, Nepal, and Dr. Rubana Huq, Vice Chancellor of Asian University for Women, Bangladesh.

Call for Papers

The conference provides a platform for scholars from around the globe to present their research on various issues of sustainable development. The major themes of the conference include conceptual and theoretical analyses of SDGs, governance, peace, and justice, poverty, inequality, and vulnerability, climate change and natural resources, education, employment, and livelihood development, development partnership, energy, industry, and economic growth, and alternative development models.

Submission Guidelines

Authors can submit their abstracts, full-length papers, and PowerPoint presentations for face-to-face or virtual presentations. All submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by the scientific committee based on novelty, methodological rigorousness, and relevance to the conference theme and sub-themes. All submissions should be original and unpublished research results.

Selected papers will have the opportunity to get published in the upcoming volume of the Journal of Development and Social Engineering (JDSE) (ISSN: 2382-5332), an interdisciplinary peer-reviewed journal published by the School of Development and Social Engineering, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Pokhara University, indexed on NepJOL.
