Government of Nepal, Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology Scholarship Branch, Sanothimi, Kathmandu Urgent Notice for Nepali Candidates Interested in Studying Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and PhD Levels on Scholarships Received from the Government of China for 2025/26
The Government of China has provided scholarships to the Government of Nepal for the academic year 2025/26. Applications are invited from eligible candidates as per the following details:
1) Postgraduate Level
a) Total Available Seats: 27
b) Subjects for Application:

c) Minimum Qualification for Application:
-
Must have participated and passed the entrance examination of the relevant subject conducted by Tribhuvan University in the most recent session.

Must be under 35 years of age.

e) Documents to be Submitted with Application:

Fully filled application form

Original revenue voucher
-
Copy of citizenship certificate
-
Roll number, Rank/Merit, and subject of the most recent postgraduate entrance examination conducted by Tribhuvan University
-
Transcript of Bachelor Level, 10+2 or equivalent, and SEE/SLC examination marksheet
-
Equivalence determination letter from the related Curriculum Development Center for transcripts or marksheets from outside Nepal
-
Recommendation letter from the district administration office if there is any discrepancy in name, surname, or birth date on the citizenship and educational qualification certificates

For candidates applying under reservation groups as per the Scholarship Rules, 2060: Documents opening reservation group, proof of passing entrance exam from a government school, and poverty indication document recommended by the local government before the deadline. These documents are not required for seats under the general category.
f) Merit Order: The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology will establish the merit order for both general and reservation groups based on the marks and Rank/Merit obtained in the entrance examination conducted by the concerned educational institution or faculty and the supporting reservation documents.
g) Opportunity for Other School Groups: Candidates from community schools will receive priority for reserved seats. If no candidates are available from community schools, reserved seats will be provided to candidates from other schools in Nepal. If there are still no candidates, the reserved seats will be converted to the general category as per the Scholarship Rules.
2) PhD Level

Must have passed the relevant Bachelor's degree from any university.
