Nepal Mountain Academy - Research Program Invitation of Research Proposal for Experts & Students: Nepal Mountain Academy invites research proposals and duly-filled grant application forms from eligible experts and students for Nepal Mountain Academy - Research Program (NMA-RP).
The NMA-RP aims at promoting research, development, and innovation through research grants to the faculties, experts, and students to strengthen research in the sector of mountaineering, Himalayan cultural heritage, adventure tourism, and mountain sciences. The research proposal will be selected on the priority sector as identified by the Academy.
Interested faculties, experts, and students fulfilling the following requirements may apply for the NMA-RP.

Category /Eligibility / Thematic Area: 1. Research Expert Category - The Principal Researcher should possess a high level of academic expertise. - The research project should have the provision of involving at least two students (a must) from Nepal Mountain Academy. - Other subjects: as per the Research Guidelines. 2. Student Category - The Principal Researcher should possess a high level of academic expertise. - The research project should have the provision of involving at least two students (a must) from Nepal Mountain Academy. - Other subjects: as per the Research Guidelines. Thematic Area (for both categories): - Mountain Sciences - Trekking/ Mountaineering Tourism - Adventure Tourism - High Altitude Hospitality Management - Himalayan Cultural Heritage |

Funding and Duration: - The maximum amount for the Research Expert category is as follows: - For field-based primary research proposal, NRs. 200,000 (two hundred thousand rupees) shall be provided. - For the support of students' involvement as research assistants, NRs. 50,000 (fifty thousand rupees) shall be provided. - The total amount for the Research Expert category is NRs. 250,000 (two hundred fifty thousand rupees). - The maximum amount of Students' Category is NRs. 100,000 (one hundred thousand rupees) based on the research and financial proposal. - The study must be completed within 1 year. |

Documents to be submitted: - Application form must be submitted to Nepal Mountain Academy as per the guidelines available at the website: www.nma.gov.np. - The applicant must follow the Academic Research Development Guideline-2020 while submitting the application form and research proposal. |

Deadline: The application along with the detailed research proposal must be registered at Nepal Mountain Academy by 2078.07.07 (24 Oct. 2021). Delays caused by postal service or other modes of delivery shall not be entertained. |
