Participation in National Best Presented Annual Report BPA Award Competition 2021

Notice of Participation in National Best Presented Annual Report (BPA) Award Competition 2021: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) has been holding an annual award competition for the National Best Presented Annual Report (BPA) Award since 2003. The basic objective of the award is to promote the better presentation of financial and other pertinent information and disclosures in the Annual Reports of the reporting entities. Best Presented Accounts & Corporate Governance (BPA& CG) Awards are the indications of best accounting practices. Corporate entities have always advocated for good corporate governance and their efforts to reflect it in all their processes. The National Best Presented Annual Report (BPA) Award 2021 will be held under the following categories.

Category 1: Banking Sector (Private and Public Sector)

Category 2: Financial Sector (Including Development Bank and Finance Companies) Category 3: Insurance Sector

Category 4: Public Sector Entity

Category 5: General Sector

5.1: Service Sector

5.2: Manufacturing Sector

5.3: Other

The evaluation of the Annual Report will be done as per the criteria set by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) which are more or less in line with the SAFA BPA Criteria set by the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA).

The winners of the National Best Presented Annual Report Award are generally announced on the occasion of the Oath Taking Ceremony of the newly elected President and Vice President of the Institute every year. The recipients of the National BPA Award shall have the privileges of its nomination in the SAFA Best Presented Annual Report Award 2021. National Best Presented Annual Report Award winners have also won awards at the SAFA level in the past.

Organizations having the Financial Report based on Nepal Financial Reporting Standards (NFRS) are requested to send their interest for participation along with their annual report (Preferably in English) for the fiscal year 2020/021(2077/078) distributed and duly approved by their annual general meeting to the ICAN office latest by June 6, 2022 (corresponding to Monday, Jestha 23, 2079) and link of soft copy of the annual report at suman.bohara@ican.org.np
