Outperforming 25 other talented contestants, she earned this prestigious title in the 30th edition of the Miss Nepal pageant. Alongside Ashma, Karuna Rawat claimed the title of Miss Nepal International, while Sumana KC secured the Miss Nepal Earth title.

At 26 years old, Ashma is not just a beauty queen but also an accomplished entrepreneur and a student of Social Work. With a degree in Social Work, she is actively involved in the Import Distribution Export business. Ashma began her entrepreneurial journey at the young age of 18, choosing to build her career in Nepal rather than going abroad, despite her parents' suggestion. Her determination to make a difference in her home country has led her to employ 12-13 women through her business.

Ashma’s journey to the Miss Nepal crown was not without challenges. She faced numerous obstacles but overcame them with resilience. She credits her family for their unwavering support and encouragement, which played a crucial role in her success. In 2024, Miss Nepal pageant featured 26 contestants, including Aanchal Khatri, Ambika Rana, Anisha Malla, Anjana Pun, Ashma Kumari KC, Dikshya Awasthi, Drishti Thapa, Eva Giri, Irina Shrestha, Karuna Rawat, Kimti Shrestha, Lalita Sherbuja, Nivita Chapagain, Prashuna Bhusal, Preravita Swar, Puja Baral, Radhika Thapa, Roshani Dahal, Saamin Koirala, Saira Khadka, Samikshya Niraula, Shraddha Suman Silwal, Simrika Manandhar, Subekshya Karki, Sumana KC, and Urja Newa.
The event was judged by a panel of 11 distinguished judges, including Dr. Rupak Ghimire, Laxmi Bhandari, and Priyanka Rani Joshi, among others.
Miss Nepal 2023, Srichchha Pradhan, will represent Nepal at Miss World this year, and continue the legacy of excellence on the global stage.
