Ministry of Education Action Against Politically Affiliated Teachers and Employees

The Center for Education and Human Resource Development has mandated a comprehensive review of actions taken against teachers and employees involved in political parties. A formal request has been sent to the education development and coordination units across all 77 districts, seeking detailed reports within 15 days. These reports should include actions taken against those who serve on political party working committees and those who act as congress representatives.

Teachers Working Outside Approved Schools

Additionally, the Center has requested information on the number of teachers working outside their designated schools without proper authorization from the school management committee and the education development and coordination unit.

Ministry's Directive

On the 7th of Baisakh 2081, the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology issued a directive to the Center, instructing subordinate agencies to take disciplinary action against politically active teachers. This directive was followed by another communication on the 28th of Baisakh 2081, urging local units and levels nationwide to enforce the decision.

Ministerial Orders

Education Minister Sumana Shrestha has been proactive in this matter, instructing that strict actions be taken against teachers involved in political parties. Following her guidance, a decision at the secretary level was made to reassess the work assignments of teachers, with exceptions granted only to those suffering from severe illnesses.
