Nepal Oil Corporation Reduces Petroleum Prices
Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC - Nepal Oil Nigam) has announced a reduction in the prices of petroleum products, effective from Sunday morning. The board of directors has decided to lower the price of petrol by NPR 2 per liter and diesel and kerosene by NPR 1 per liter.
New Fuel Prices
- Petrol:
- First category areas: NPR 160.50 per liter
- Second category areas: NPR 162 per liter
- Third category areas: NPR 163 per liter
- Diesel and Kerosene:
- First category areas: NPR 151.50 per liter
- Second category areas: NPR 153 per liter
- Third category areas: NPR 154 per liter
Aviation Fuel Adjustments
- Domestic Flights: The price of aviation fuel has been reduced by NPR 5 per liter, now set at NPR 132 per liter.
- International Flights: The price has been decreased by USD 37 per kiloliter, with the new rate fixed at USD 1,005 per kiloliter.
Geographic Pricing Categories
- First Category Depots: Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalwari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, Birgunj
- Second Category Depots: Surkhet, Dang
- Third Category Depots: Kathmandu, Pokhara, Dipayal
Price Adjustment Reasons
The corporation made these price adjustments based on the recent purchase rates received from the Indian Oil Corporation. Despite an increase in the purchase price of LPG gas by NPR 35.11 per cylinder, the corporation has opted to keep the selling price unchanged for the time being.
These price changes reflect Nepal Oil Corporation's commitment to adjusting fuel prices in line with international market trends, ensuring consumers benefit from any potential reductions while maintaining stable pricing where necessary.
