New Citizenship Issuance Via Online in Syangja

With the advancement of technology, Syangja has introduced an online process for issuing new citizenship. Previously, applicants had to visit the District Administration Office with a handwritten schedule recommendation. Now, citizenship can be obtained by filling out an online form.

Centralized Citizenship Information Management System

The online citizenship recommendation process has been enhanced through the centralized citizenship information management system of the Ministry of Home Affairs. In Syangja, which has 11 local levels, this technology has been implemented simultaneously across all municipalities.

Training and Implementation

The Ministry of Home Affairs provided training to the secretaries and ward chairpersons of the 97 wards in the district. Initially, this system was launched in Bhirkot on Ashad 19, and by Shrawan 1, it became mandatory in all wards.

Efficient Recommendation Preparation

According to Arjun Chaupari 3 Ward Secretary Narayan Poudel, after entering the applicant’s details into the system, the recommendation is prepared. The recommendation is then printed, signed, and stamped by the ward chairperson before being uploaded into the system.

Benefits of the Online System

Assistant Chief District Officer Deepak Poudel stated that this technology saves time, reduces costs, and provides efficient service to applicants. Previously, incomplete documents often caused applicants to return from the administration office. Now, no one returns empty-handed after submitting a completed recommendation and number.

Successful Issuance of Citizenship

In Syangja, a total of 71 individuals have obtained new citizenship through the online recommendation process. This includes 51 people from the District Administration Office and 20 from the Area Administration Office.

By leveraging technology, Syangja is streamlining its citizenship issuance process, ensuring faster and more efficient service for its residents.
