Federal Education Minister Emphasizes Integration of Science and Technology in School Education
Federal Minister for Education, Science, and Technology Vidya Bhattarai, has emphasized the importance of integrating science and technology in school education.
Speaking at a science exhibition held at Janata Namuna Secondary School in Gadahiya Dumariya, Sarlahi, on Tuesday, Minister Bhattarai stressed the importance of encouraging and fostering student talent in science and technology. She highlighted that the state should provide the necessary support to help students progress.
During the event, Minister Bhattarai inspected the science and technology stalls presented by students and remarked that all three levels of government are responsible for enhancing students' knowledge, skills, and capabilities.
Minister Bhattarai reiterated the importance of practical education in the modern era, expressing happiness at witnessing the students' talent. However, she also voiced concerns about the shortage of teachers and declining educational standards in the Madhesh region.
The Minister committed to improving the education sector in Madhesh and addressing the teacher shortage. She reaffirmed her dedication to uplifting the region's educational standards.
District-Level Science Exhibition Organized
With the slogan “Collaboration for Advancing Science and Latest Technologies,” Balara Municipality, in partnership with UNESCO, organized a two-day district-level science exhibition.
Thirty-seven schools from 14 local governments were selected to participate in the exhibition by showcasing their science and technology stalls. Schools achieving top positions will be rewarded:

Budget Allocation and Event Duration
Balara Municipality allocated NPR 1.5 million, while UNESCO contributed NPR 500,000 to organize the exhibition, which will continue until Wednesday, 4th December 2024.
