Nepal Ayurveda Medical Council (NAMC) regulates and legislates Ayurveda medicine in Nepal, established under the Ayurveda Medical Council Act, 2045. NAMC oversees various aspects of Ayurveda, including courses, human resources, institutions, practitioners, and traditional healers.

Key Services:

Regulation of Ayurveda Practitioners: All Ayurveda practitioners, Nepali and foreign, must register with NAMC to practice legally in Nepal.
Accreditation of Educational Institutions: NAMC accredits Ayurveda educational institutions in Nepal, ensuring they meet required standards.
Licensing Examination: NAMC conducts licensing exams for Ayurveda graduates (B.A.M.S.) and other relevant courses. Successful candidates receive a valid license.
Code of Ethics for Practitioners: NAMC has established a code of ethics for all registered Ayurveda doctors to uphold professional standards and safety.
