To understand their children's educational status and improve it to enhance the quality of education, a school in Kohalpur Municipality, Banke, has started a new practice.
As part of this practice, the school has launched a 'Parents in the Classroom Program.'
Kohalpur Secondary School, operated by the Public Educational Trust in Town Planning, Kohalpur-11, has started the 'Parents in the Classroom Program' to inform parents about their children's educational status and seek suggestions for improving educational quality, according to the principal of Kohalpur Secondary School, Shankar Neupane.
He mentioned that the program was initiated to bring parents to the classroom to directly inform them about their children's real educational status. The principal added that the triangular relationship was necessary to improve the school's educational quality.
Since parents are usually absent in community schools, they do not get information about their children's studies. Therefore, the school has arranged for parents to mandatorily visit the school to get this information.
Most parents have responded positively, saying that this program is good for improving the educational quality of children and increasing parental involvement. The program started with students of class 7. Under the program, parents will directly know about their children's studies, what they are doing, and how they are learning and teaching. If they are not satisfied with anything, they can give suggestions to the school.
A parent of Kohalpur Secondary School, Dhanraj Yogi, stated that this program is very effective and good as it not only makes the children regular but also informs parents about all the activities inside the classroom.
Most parents believe that this program will be beneficial as it provides an opportunity for parents to be present at the school, get information about their children's studies, and make improvements accordingly.
