Digital Election for Youth Development Club at Nepal Tourism and Hotel Management College (NTHMC)

Students of Nepal Tourism and Hotel Management College (NTHMC), Centre for Business management took part in polling for the standing committee members of the newly formed NTHMC youth development club. The idea for the establishment of this club is to make students learn democratic values and be able to perform their responsibilities themselves in a world full of thorough challenges. Almost 90 students from the Centre for business management took part in the poll which was done digitally through google forms in the open space of Gairapatan. For that, the students set up five polling booths to facilitate students. There were hotspots for internet services during online vote cast. The volunteers also served snacks and tea to the students who took part in the votes.

 

Kabin Sapkota (BBA_BI 7th sem) was able to win the poll for the presidency of the club. The vice president was won by Uma Kumari Thapa of BBA III semester, secretary Prashant Subedi BBA II semester, deputy secretary Karima Ale BI V Treasurer Kushal Shrestha BI V and vice treasurer Prajita Khand BI V semester were elected in the executive committee. This committee will be supported by executive members Jiya Marasini, Kushal Ale, Sandhya Poudel, Shiva Thapa, Deepa Bhujel, Sanjeeta Poudel, Alik Shrestha, Prabin Gurung, Krishna Thapa, Sudip Ojha, Mamata Subedi, Amisha Pariyar and Anoop Gurung.

 

The program was observed by the principal of the college Mr. Prakash Regmi, Program coordinator of the center Mr. Harihar Poudel and faculty Mr. Milan Shrestha. The elected representatives also received khada and name tag badges as a token of their victory. The executive members received a badge of the club. NTHMC management would like to wish a successful tenure of the newly elected club members.
