Special Notice regarding Advertisement
FMTC is committed to ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process. In compliance with the honorable Supreme Court writ no. 078-WO-0660 and the related transfer applications, the mandate order dated 24/10/2079 will be strictly adhered to in filling these vacancies.
Key Information at a Glance
1. Type of Examination: The selection process will include a Written Examination, a Practical Assessment, and an Interview.
2. Application Fee: The application fee for Assistant Departmental Manager Level-9 and Assistant Departmental Manager Level-8 positions is Rs. 2,000.- (two thousand). For all other positions, including Senior Officer Level-7 and Level-6 Officers, Senior Assistant Level-5, and Assistant Level-4, the application fee is Rs. 1,200.- (One Thousand Two Hundred). Additional fees of Rs. 600.- (six hundred) for Level-9 and Level-8, and Rs. 400.- (Four hundred) for other positions will apply.
3. Last Date for Submission: The deadline for application submission is up to 18/10/2080, with an extended period for double payment applications until 25/10/2080.
4. Age Limit: Candidates applying for Level-8 and 9 positions should be between 21 and 45 years old. For Level-6 and Level-7, the age limit is 21 to 35 years, and for Level-4 and Level-5, it's 18 to 35 years. Women and disabled candidates have a maximum age limit of 40 years in the respective categories. Permanent employees of the company are exempt from age restrictions.
5. Eligibility: Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the regulations regarding employee service and conditions of the Food Management and Trade Company Limited, 2079.
6. Application Submission: After completing the application form, candidates must proceed to the Payment Tab and submit the application fee through one of the specified payment modes.
7. Holiday Submission: Even if the last day for submission of applications falls on a public holiday, the application, along with the prescribed fee, must be submitted on the same day.
8. Non-Refundable Fee: Please note that the examination fee will not be refunded except in cases of advertisement cancellation.
9. Salary and Benefits: Successful candidates will be entitled to salary allowances and other facilities in accordance with the company's employee service, conditions, and regulations of 2079.
10. Place of Work: The assigned work locations will vary based on the job level. Employees appointed at Level-4 and Level-6 will work in branches and depot offices outside the Kathmandu valley under the provincial office. Level-6 and Level-7 employees will be stationed in branch and main branch offices, while Level-8 and Level-9 employees will be based at the head office and regional offices of the company.
11. Job Responsibilities: Detailed information about the roles, responsibilities, and service groups associated with each position will be provided during the selection process.
12. Probation Period: Male employees will have a probationary period of 1 year, while female employees will have a 6-month probation period.
13. Double Duty Period: Double duty periods will not be counted for age, educational qualifications, training, work experience, and length of service calculations.
14. Work Experience Recognition and Requirements
If you are applying for the positions of Joint Departmental Manager Level-9 and Assistant Departmental Manager Level-8, FMTC recognizes work experience from various organizations and bodies. Here are the guidelines for submitting and recognizing work experience:
a) Nizamati and other government bodies b) Organized organizations wholly or partially owned by the Government of Nepal. c) Development Committee constituted as per Development Committee Act, 2013 d) Institutions or bodies established by law e) United Nations, its organs and specialized agencies f) Intergovernmental International Organizations g) Physical Campus of the University h) Community school or campus
Additional Requirements:

For experience in organizations other than those mentioned in clause (a), you must provide:
- The appointment letter or contract
- A letter from the relevant organization verifying the service period
- Information regarding the process, qualifications, organization structure, and service conditions of staff in such organizations
- Only experience at the authorized level in accordance with relevant rules, regulations, guidelines, or procedures will be recognized.

Government employees seeking to submit experience from other agencies or organized organizations must attach:
- A letter of prior approval from the Government of Nepal
- A letter of leave approval for the relevant period

If you have worked in multiple agencies simultaneously during the same period, only the experience from the agency where you worked full-time will be considered. Experience involving less than 40 hours per week (partial work) will not be recognized.

Experience mentioned as "part-time" in the appointment letter or contract will not be considered.

Experience gained at the officer level before attaining the required minimum training qualification will not be recognized.

Temporary or contractual service experience lasting less than one year will not be counted.

Experience at the assistant level while holding an officer-level position will not be acknowledged.
15. Educational Qualifications Equivalency
If your educational qualifications require equivalency determination, you must compulsorily submit a certified copy of the equivalency determination along with your application.
16. Inclusive Group Documentation
Candidates applying for the inclusive side must submit the necessary documents to confirm their eligibility for the inclusive group.
17. Complete Application Form
Ensure that all fields in the application form are filled out accurately and comprehensively. Providing complete and accurate information is crucial for a smooth application process.
18. Application Submission Requirements
To ensure your application is considered, please note the following requirements:
- Enroll within the specified deadline mentioned in the vacancy committee's notification.
- Meet the minimum educational qualification.
- Provide accurate and complete information as required.
- Submit the prescribed application fee. Applications that do not meet these criteria will not be accepted.
19. Matters Not Covered in this Notice
In cases not addressed in this notice, the selection process will follow the company's employee service, conditions, facilities-related regulations of 2079, and other applicable laws.
20. Additional Documents for Inclusive Group Applicants
Candidates applying under the Inclusive Group category must provide additional documentation as follows:
a) Adivasi/Janajati: If there are multiple surnames within the same caste listed in the National Foundation For Development of Indigenous Nationalities Act, provide documents certified by the Chief District Officer on the recommendation of the head of the local level concerned.
b) Dalits: If there are multiple surnames within the caste listed by the National Dalit Commission, provide documents certified by the Chief District Officer on the recommendation of the head of the local level concerned.
c) Disabled persons: Submit a Disability ID card issued by the Social Welfare Council or a Disability ID card issued by the relevant local level specifying the disability classification according to subsection (3) of Section 4 of the Act on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, 2074.
d) Madhesi: Provide a document certified by the Nepal Government as Madhesi from an institution specified in the Nepal Gazette, or on the recommendation of the head of the concerned local level until the institution is published in the Nepal Gazette, provide documents certified as Madhesi by the Chief District Officer.
e) Backward areas: Submit a citizenship certificate indicating permanent residence in the district mentioned in regulation 9 of the company's regulations and permanent residence from the relevant village municipality or municipality at least three months ago. Certified documents should be provided as evidence.
