Nepal Army, Recruitment Selection Directorate, Jangi Adda Vacancy for Applications for PraDa/Technical/Airforce/Misc Padik and Billadar 2081

The Nepal Army has announced an open and inclusive competition for filling vacant officer and warrant officer positions in the technical, air, and miscellaneous services. Qualified Nepali citizens are invited to fill out the online application form available on the official website of the Nepal Army (www.nepalarmy.mil.np). Candidates must print out the hard copy of the completed form and submit it to the recruitment center or fill out the application form in person at the recruitment center. The application form must be submitted with an NPR 10/-ticket.

3. Application Submission Dates and Location:

(A) Application Dates:

  • From 2081/08/28 to 2081/09/27 with regular fee and an additional 7 days from 2081/09/28 to 2081/10/05 with double fee.

  • Applications must be submitted during office hours within this period.

(B) If the last date falls on a public holiday:

  • Applications can be submitted on the next working day when the office reopens.

(C) Location:

  • Nepal Army Central Recruitment Selection Center, Swayambhu.

4. Application Fee:

To be submitted at Nepal Bank Limited Account Number 00101000000001001001 (Office Code 345013513 and Revenue Title No. 14224) as per the following positions: Submit the original voucher along with 1/1 copy of the application form for each position. If applying for more than one group in the same advertisement, an additional 20% fee will be charged for each additional group.

(A) Prabidhik Subedar - NPR 400/-

(B) Prabidhik Jamdar and Lekha Jamdar - NPR 300/-

(C) Pandit Huddha, all trades of Prabidhik Jamdar, and Amaldar staff - NPR 200/-

Required Qualification:

Prabidhik Subedar (Nursing)

  • Completed proficiency certificate level or equivalent in Nursing and registered with the Nepal Nursing Council.

Overseer Prabidhik Subedar (Civil)

  • Completed proficiency certificate level or equivalent in Civil Engineering.

Prada Jamadar

  • Completed SLC or equivalent.

Prabidhik Jamdar (Vehicle Mechanics)

  • Completed 10+2 in Science and three-year diploma in the relevant trade.

Prabidhik Jamdar (General Mechanical)

  • Must have completed 10+2 in science and a three-year diploma in general mechanics or mechanical trade from a recognized educational institution.

Prabidhik Jamdar (Computer)

  • (a) Completed 10+2 in Science and three-year diploma in Computer, Electronics, Electrical, or IT, or completed proficiency certificate level in Computer.

  • (b) Completed at least six months of training in Computer Hardware or Software Diploma.

Prabidhik Jamdar (Ground Handling)

  • (a) Completed at least three months of training in the relevant subject or completed proficiency certificate level in Electrical Engineering.

  • (b) Completed at least three months of basic computer training from a recognized educational institution.

Prabidhik Jamdar (Aviation Store)

  • (a) Completed 10+2 in Management.

  • (b) Completed at least six months of training in Storekeeping or completed Technical SLC from the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training.

Prabidhik Jamdar (Dispatcher)

  • (a) Completed at least three months of training in the relevant subject or obtained Dispatcher (Flight Operation Training).

  • (b) Completed at least three months of basic computer training from a recognized educational institution.

Lekha Jamdar

  • Completed 10+2 in Management or equivalent and completed at least three months of basic computer training from a recognized educational institution.

Pandit Hudda

  • Completed SLC or equivalent or examination in Sanskrit with 300 full marks including Prabamadhyama or Karmakanda.

Prabidhik Amaldar (Medical)

  • Completed SLC or equivalent and completed training of Health Assistant recognized in medical and registered with the Nepal Health Professional Council.

Prabidhik Amaldar (Dental)

  • Completed SLC or equivalent and completed training in Dental Hygiene or equivalent recognized in Dental and registered with the Nepal Health Professional Council.

Prabidhik Amaldar (General Mechanical)

  • Completed training prescribed by the Nepal Army or completed 10+2 in Science or equivalent or Technical SLC or equivalent.

Prabidhik Amaldar (Vehicle Mechanics)

  • Completed one year training in the Automobile (Vehicle) Trade.

Prabidhik Amaldar (General Mechanics - A.C. and Refrigeration Mechanics)

  • Completed one-year training in General Mechanics or Mechanical Trade.

Prabidhik Amaldar (General Mechanics - Generator)

  • Completed one-year training in General Mechanics or Mechanical Trade.

Prabidhik Amaldar (General Mechanics)

  • Completed one-year training in General Mechanics or Mechanical Trade.

Prabidhik Amaldar (Radio Mechanics)

  • Completed one-year training in Electronics Trade.

Prabidhik Amaldar (Computer)

  • Completed at least three months of basic computer training and at least three months of specialized training in Desktop Publishing, Graphics design, Hardware Maintenance, Networking, or Database.

Prabidhik Amaldar (Veterinary)

  • Completed Veterinary JTA training (15-18 months).

Prabidhik Amaldar (Visual Materials, Photography, and Archiving - Video Editing)

  • Completed at least three months of training in Computer Software and at least three months of training in Non-Linear Video Editing or Graphics Designing.

Prabidhik Amaldar (Audio Materials, Print, and Electronic News - Public Relations)

  • Completed at least three months of training in Computer Software and at least three months of training in one of Desktop Publishing, Graphics Designing, Hardware Maintenance, Networking, or Database.

Prabidhik Amaldar (Band)

  • Completed at least six months of training in one of the Orchestra groups (Guitar, Keyboard, Violin, Cello, Trumpet, Saxophone, Piper, Singing) from a recognized institution.

  • Male: Minimum 5 feet 2 inches

  • Female: Minimum 5 feet

Chest (for males only):

  • Minimum 32 inches when not expanded

  • Minimum 34 inches when expanded

Weight: 

  • Minimum 50 kg (110 pounds) for both male and female

Eyesight:

  • Vision should be ±2 (both eyes) without glasses.

  • Vision should be ±2.5 (both eyes) without glasses for technical services.

BMI (Body Mass Index):

  • Minimum 16 and maximum 27

Other Qualifications:

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must be deemed fit for the BMI and health tests.

  • A court must not have convicted candidates for any moral turpitude criminal offense.

  • Candidates must not be a member of any political party at the time.

  • Candidates must not be involved in or associated with any criminal activities.

  • Candidates must not be a member of any organization with destructive objectives.

  • Candidates must not have been convicted of espionage against Nepal.

  • Candidates must not have been convicted of human rights violations or breaches of humanitarian law.

  • Candidates must not have been dismissed from service in a manner that disqualifies them from future government service.

Age Limit:

Candidates must be at least 18 years old and not exceed 25 years old by 2081/09/27 (Born between 2056/09/27 and 2063/09/27).

Current Military Service Candidates:

(a) The age limit for qualified military personnel currently serving in the Nepal Army for the specified positions will be as per the relevant service regulations, with a maximum of three application attempts allowed. Candidates must have the required educational qualifications, completed basic military training, and have a recommendation from their unit commander.

(b) By the last date of application submission (2081/09/27), candidates must have completed a minimum service period of one year.

Required Documents:

Candidates must self-certify and submit the following documents, placing one copy of each document in a Nepali file. Scribbled or double-written documents will not be accepted. Candidates must bring the original copies of all documents when applying.

(a) Citizenship Certificate of Nepal.

(b) Marksheets, character certificates, and original/provisional certificates for all educational levels.

(c) Equivalency certificate from Tribhuvan University for degrees obtained from boards or universities other than those in Nepal.

(d) For certificates issued before implementing the Letter Grading Directive, 2078, the minimum GPA must be 2 / CGPA 1.6 or above, and no subject should have a grade below D+. For certificates issued under the Letter Grading Directive, 2078, the minimum GPA for SEE should be two or above, and the main certificate must be obtained. For Class 12 educational qualifications, the minimum GPA must be 1.6 or above, and the main certificate must be obtained.

(e) If the advertised educational qualification is not met, the higher educational qualification in the same subject will be considered meeting the minimum qualification.

Additional Documents for Children of Deceased or Disabled Soldiers:

Candidates who have suffered physical disabilities due to military training or duty or children of soldiers who died in the line of duty must self-certify and submit the following additional documents:

(i) Certified copy of the record from the Directorate of Ceremony Operations listing the need for assistance or the pension letter mentioning death or disability.

(ii) For current personnel, a certified copy of the recommendation letter from the Medical Board as per Section 107 of the Military Service Regulations, 2069.

(iii) Certified copy of the relationship certificate with the relevant candidate.

9. Photograph:

Candidates must submit four (4) recent passport-size photos showing the full face (including both ears) and one (1) 2x2 size photo along with the application. Males should have their beards shaved and hair cut.

10. Contact Date and Location:

On the date 2081/10/13 at 1100 hours, candidates must either appear in person at the Nepal Army Central Recruitment Selection Center, Swayambhu or check the schedule for upcoming exams on the official portal of the Recruitment Selection Directorate at vacancy.nepalarmy.mil.np under EXAM NOTICES.

11. Selection Process:

The selection process includes a bearing exam, BMI and preliminary health check, physical exam, written exam (conducted by the Public Service Commission), practical exam, detailed health check, and interview. Candidates who fail any exam cannot participate in subsequent exams. 12. Salary, Allowance, Ration, and Other Benefits:

  • As per the prevailing rules and regulations of the Nepal Army.

13. Other Conditions:

(a) Candidates working in the Government of Nepal or other semi-government organizations must submit departmental approval when applying.

(b) Candidates applying under the inclusive category can compete in only one of the Indigenous/Janajati, Madhesi, or Dalit communities. However, this condition does not apply to women. Candidates from backward regions (both male and female) can also apply for the backward region quota.

(c) Women candidates will be included in the Nepal Army units performing Combat Related Duties/Combat Service Support, except for units engaged in Direct Combat Duties/Close Combat Roles.

(d) Candidates who have applied for other posts in the ongoing recruitment process of the Nepal Army must make a self-declaration.

(1) Candidates filling out the online application form must mention the applied position and advertisement number during the application process.

(2) Candidates appearing in person to fill the application form must mention the applied position and advertisement number in item 3(n) "Any other details" of the application form.

(C) Form Submission Process:

  • The applicant's age, educational qualifications, and citizenship details will be verified initially. Only candidates meeting the minimum qualifications will complete the remaining forms. Afterward, candidates will confirm their personal, educational, and family details in Nepali Unicode Kalimati font and apply.

  • Candidates should download and save the application form, admit card, and revenue voucher in PDF format and print them.

(D) Submission of Printed Application:

Candidates must attach a photo, affix a postal ticket, and sign the printed application form before submitting it to the selected recruitment center within the specified date. Candidates must submit the printed form within the first 30 days of submitting the online application. Otherwise, a double fee will be charged if submitted during the extended period. The online submission will not be considered valid if candidates do not submit the printed form.

(E) Technical Difficulties:

15. Special Notice:

As per the order dated 2079/10/24 issued by the Honorable Supreme Court in writ petition number 078-WO-0382, including the Recruitment Selection Directorate of the Nepal Army as the opposing party, necessary legal provisions will be made for the inclusive group. The total positions maintained will include previously lost due to non-inclusion from FY 079/80 onwards. This notice is published for recruitment according to prevailing laws until legal provisions are made.
