Nepal Insurance Authority Announces Vacancy for Chairperson of the Board of Directors
Government of Nepal, Ministry of Finance, Notice from the Recruitment Committee for the Appointment of the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Nepal Insurance Authority.
Since the vacant position of the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Nepal Insurance Authority will be filled through open competition, interested Nepali citizens with the following qualifications are invited to submit a confidential, sealed application to the Financial Sector Management and Institutions Coordination Division, Ministry of Finance, Singha Durbar, Kathmandu, within 15 days from the first publication date of this notice during office hours.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
(a) As per sub-section (1) (a) of section 8 of the Insurance Act, 2079, at least a master's degree or equivalent in Insurance, Monetary, Banking, Commerce, Management, Public Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Law, and at least five years of high managerial work experience in the related field.
(b) Having high moral character.
(c) Not being disqualified as per sub-section (3) of section 8 of the same act.
(d) As per the criteria specified in the Standards for Appointment and Nomination of Officials and Members of Public Bodies Associated with the Ministry of Finance, 2073 (as amended), having completed 30 years of age and not exceeding 65 years of age, and not having the following disqualifications:
- Not a non-Nepali citizen.
- Not convicted of corruption, money laundering, human trafficking, drug trafficking, archaeological or protected wildlife-related offenses, or other criminal offenses reflecting moral turpitude.
- Not included in the blacklist as per the prevailing law, or not having completed three years since being removed from such a list.
- Not having obtained permanent residency in any foreign country.
- Not working under a contract agreement with any public body as an executive head.
- Mentally sound.
Application Submission Process and Required Documents:
(a) The applicant must submit the documents and details mentioned in section 3 of the "Procedure for Recommendation for Appointment to the Position of Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Nepal Insurance Authority, 2081" published on the Ministry of Finance's website (www.mof.gov.np), certified by the applicant, and attach two passport-sized photos.
(b) The applicant must submit four copies of the professional work plan in a sealed envelope, as per section 5 of the same procedure. The envelope containing the sealed proposal should be signed and mention the applicant's name. It should also include the application for the position of Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Nepal Insurance Authority.
Application Fee:
The application fee of NPR 7,500/- (in words: Seven thousand five hundred only) must be deposited in the current account number 30101010000452 of Global IME Bank Limited at the Ministry of Finance's code number 305003501, revenue account: 1000100200010000, and revenue title: 14224. The original voucher must be submitted with the application.
Remuneration: The monthly remuneration, allowance, facilities, and other terms of service for the Chairperson will be as specified.
Other Details:
(a) Detailed information regarding the application and recommendation process is available in the "Procedure for Recommendation for Appointment to the Position of Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Nepal Insurance Authority, 2081," published on the Ministry of Finance's website (www.mof.gov.np).
(b) The recommendation committee may reject the applications received under this notice with or without specifying any reason.
(c) If any applicant submits false information or documents, such an application will be rejected, and action will be taken as per the prevailing law.
