UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, is looking forthe qualified candidates for the following positions:

Position:

The Programme Associate will provide programmatic, administrative and financial support in the implementation of programme activities while ensuring full compliance of programme and financial processes with UN/UNFPA rules, regulations, policies and strategies. S/he will provide effective communications support to the office; ensuring facilitation of knowledge building and management. In addition, the incumbent contributes to basic programme/research data and analysis for the management of the programme and in tracking progress of the programme implementation.

Eligibility criteria for above position:

Secondary Level (Bachelor degree preferred) in Business Administration, Commerce, Accountancy, Chartered Accountancy and related fields; Six years of relevant experience in administration, finance or office management; Proficiency in current office software applications, web-based management and ERP financial systems; General understanding of programme support, monitoring and evaluation is desirable; Good writing and communication skills with the ability to draft correspondence in a clear, accurate and concise manner; Experience and knowledge of working with the United Nations is preferable; Good interpersonal, planning, organizational and multitasking skills; Ability to work independently and harmoniously in a multi-cultural and multi-ethnic team environment maintaining tact and discretion in all dealings.

Duration: 1 Year initially with the possibility of extension

Deadline: 9 February 2024 by 5:30 PM NPT

Position: The Operations and Compliance Analyst provides guidance and support on financial management, assurance activities, and financial reporting and will provide dedicated operational support to facilitate the implementation and delivery of projects. S/he provides guidance and support to the Project Coordination Specialist, EWPN, and other Project Managers in strategically undertaking financial functions. The position will be based at the UNFPA country office, Kathmandu, and will work under the guidance and direct supervision of the International Operations Manager.

Eligibility criteria for above position: Advanced degree in accounting, audit, finance or other related discipline; Proficiency in current office software applications; Advanced knowledge of spreadsheets, Google Suits preferable; Prior working experience in the public sector; Prior experience in working with ERP systems (preferably Oracle based) is an advantage; UN common system experience is desirable; Knowledge on EU financial reporting and fund management will be considered as an added advantage; Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, precision, and accuracy.
