World Vision International Nepal (WVIN), an international Christian relief, development, and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families, and communities to overcome poverty and injustice, is looking for potential Nepalese candidates to fill out the following positions:

1. Position: Sponsorship Field Coordinator (One)-based in Sarlahi

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Sponsorship Field Coordinator will coordinate Child Sponsorship and Community Sponsorship operations and services with partner NGOs that will enable WVIN to meet Child Sponsorship Standards. coordinate sponsorship processes within the team to fulfill sponsorship outcomes and outputs; Facilitate strong community and partner engagement and ownership of child sponsorship to process child selection and registration; Develop sponsorship activities that promote children's participation and well-being: Foster meaningful relationships and communication between children and sponsors. The role will be responsible to provide technical support to partner NGOs to lead the integration and quality of sponsorship in those programmes supported by sponsorship, and to mitigate potential problems traditionally associated with sponsorship practices.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies required for the position:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Social Science/Development Studies/ Sociology/ International Relation or any relevant field with minimum of 3 years' experience in similar or equivalent positions in development sector or sponsorship-focused organization:A Master's degree is an added advantage; Must have experience in preparing and facilitating training workshops and working in rural areas; Understanding poverty issues, development theories and sustainable development practices including empowerment approach through community-led activities and advocacy is required; Should have strong project management skills including the ability to plan and budget;
  • Be able to manage performance of partners and contractors; Monitor, evaluate and communicate results; think strategically and analytically; solve problems; and make appropriate and timely decisions; Must have effective written and oral communications skills including presentation and reporting skills; Should have good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity along with strong collaboration and partnership skills to mobilize engagement and influence; Must have a good understanding of humanitarian sector.

2. Position: Support Service Coordinator (One)-based in Sarlahi

Key Responsibilities:

  • This position will be responsible for providing Finance and Supply Chain Management (SCM) support to VVVIN's NGO Partners and ensure that all partners adhere required to finance and SCM compliances. which includes payment and disbursements; procurement review and support; monitoring and reporting with at least 70% visit to the field/Project locations. To ensure stewardship. accountability and transparency in the Finance and SCM sectors at all level through the active resourcing and empowerment of NGO Partners.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies required for the position:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accountancy with at least 3 years of experience in related field; Must have solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial systems, budget/cash-flow monitoring, Supply Chain Management System and internal controls: Should have knowledge of and experience with government grant regulations and financial reporting requirements;A strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay processes is required;
  • Prior experience of log frame and partner collaboration preferred: Should have the ability to manage interpersonal relations and work effectively with others, to establish and maintain good working relations in a multicultural, multiethnic environment while showing sensitivity and respect for diversity.

Core competencies for the positions:

  • Excellent oral and written English & Nepali; Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office: Ready to take initiatives and willing to work under pressure and exhibit a high level of flexibility; Hold a high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, and able to work independently; Strategic, creative, and innovative thinking with decision making and problem solving skills; Good understanding of humanitarian Sector; Committed to World Vision Core Values and Mission Statement.
