Dr. Bishwambhar Sharma Honored with Shiv-Savitri Samman 2079 for Literature Contributions

Dr. Bishwambhar Sharma, a renowned writer from Parsa, Nepal, was recently honored with the prestigious Shiv-Savitri Samman 2079 at a program held in Chandranigahpur, Rautahat. The award was presented to Dr. Sharma in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Nepali and Bhojpuri literature.

Although Dr. Sharma was born in Sarlahi, a Bajjika speaking region, he has made a significant impact on Nepali and Bhojpuri literature through his writings. Currently, he is teaching Nepali subject at Thakurram Multipurpose Campus in Birganj.

At the award ceremony, Dr. Sharma expressed his gratitude towards the organizers and acknowledged the responsibility that comes with the honor of being recognized for his contributions to language and literature. Narnath Luintel, editor-in-chief of satirical Fitkauli.com, also paid his respects to Dr. Sharma and urged everyone present to use literature as a medium of expression.

The program was jointly organized by Shiv-Savitri Foundation Nepal and Budheuli Sahitya Samaj Rautahat-Sarlahi and saw the participation of writers from various districts including Makwanpur, Rautahat, Sarlahi, Rupandehi, Chitwan, Khotong, Mahottari, and Bara. The award included a cash prize of 11 thousand 111 rupees and a certificate.

Dr. Bishwambhar Sharma's achievements and recognition with the Shiv-Savitri Samman 2079 highlight his significant contributions to Nepali and Bhojpuri literature. His work continues to inspire writers and readers alike, making him an important figure in the literary world of Nepal.
