Important Guidelines for School Education in Pokhara Metropolitan City

As an educational hub of Nepal, Pokhara Metropolitan City has set certain guidelines to ensure quality education in schools. Here are the top 10 important guidelines that all schools in the city must follow:

Admission Fees: Schools are allowed to charge only one admission fee during the teaching period, and it should not exceed the maximum fee of 2 months.

Bridge Courses: No educational institution can conduct any kind of bridge course related to the admission of class 11 students within Pokhara Metropolitan City.

Academic Session: All schools located in the metropolis will have to conduct the regular reading of the upcoming academic session from 2080/01/10.

Cooperation: Institutional and community schools should cooperate with each other to increase the quality of education among nearby schools.

Class 11 Admission: Students studying up to class 10 must study in the same school in class 11 if they want to continue their education.

Sales of Textbooks: Textbooks and other educational materials within schools cannot be sold or distributed.

School Bus Transportation: School buses should be used for transporting students only from 1 hour 30 minutes before the start of school.

Tobacco and Alcohol Products: It is not allowed to sell or distribute tobacco and alcohol products within 100 meters of the school area.

School Bus Condition: Buses used by schools cannot be more than 20 years old and should be serviced every 6/6 months.

Admission Certificates: Schools cannot admit students without certificates. A mandatory arrangement should be made for new admissions not to admit students without certificates.
