Miklajung Rural Municipality Implements Rule: Children of Teachers, Employees, and People's Representatives Must Enroll in Public Schools

The Miklajung Rural Municipality in Panchthar has recently issued an Education Act, making it mandatory for the children of teachers, employees, and people's representatives working in the municipality to Enroll in government schools. This new regulation aims to raise the quality of education and address the declining quality of education in the region.

Amar Makhim, the chairman of the rural municipality, said that this decision was made after seeing the deteriorating quality of education in public schools while teaching his own children in private schools. According to Makhim, the implementation of this rule will begin from the academic session 2080, as outlined in section (22) of the Education Act 2079.

In order to implement the rule, the rural municipality has issued a public notice asking the children of public school representatives, teachers, and government employees to be admitted to public schools. The municipality claims that this new regulation will reduce distortions in the educational sector, ensuring that all children have access to quality education regardless of their family background.

This new initiative is part of a broader campaign to improve the quality of education in the region, and it is hoped that it will encourage more parents to send their children to public schools. By ensuring that all children have equal access to education, the Miklajung Rural Municipality is taking a significant step towards building a more equitable and just society.
