In the name of Prof. Surya Prasad Subedi, two annual awards on human rights and scholarship have been established at Oxford University. The first prize will be given to the person receiving the best marks in human rights law at the graduate level of the university and the second to present the best scholarship dissertation in law.
Prof. Subedi expressed happiness that such awards were established in a prestigious university in his name. These awards are believed to keep alive the distinguished contribution of Prof. Subedi to the development of human rights and international law. Prof Subedi received his scholarship from Oxford University in 1993.
Last year, he was awarded the highest award by the University of Oxford, for his outstanding contribution to international law and human rights.
