Sunaulo Samudayik Pustakalaya of Dharan-17: From a Room to a Well-Equipped Community Library

Sunaulo Samudayik Pustakalaya, also known as the Community Library of Dharan-17, has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 2052 BS. Started from a single room, the library has now grown into a well-equipped space with various rooms and cells for different purposes.

President Ramesh Chakra Khadka, who oversaw the development of the library, praised the works done by Read Nepal and Shanti Volunteers for building the library at a cost of 2 crores. With their efforts, the library has recently come into operation, serving the community with its resources.

The main objective of the library is to spread awareness among the residents of the ward, and Chairman Khadka encouraged everyone to become lifelong members to facilitate the library's operations. He also expressed a desire to create a model library throughout Kosi province, which will benefit the larger community.

The library has various rooms, including five cells dedicated to women and children. With its well-equipped resources, the library serves as a hub of knowledge and information for the community, providing access to books, newspapers, magazines, and other resources that enhance literacy and education.

Sunaulo Samudayik Pustakalaya is a shining example of how a small initiative can lead to a significant impact in the community. By promoting literacy and education, the library serves as a valuable resource for the residents of Dharan-17 and beyond.
