Government of Nepal, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology Notice for Application for the Position of Chairperson of the Film Development Board

Applications are invited from Nepali citizens meeting the following qualifications for the recommendation for appointment to the position of Chairperson of the Film Development Board.

1. The applicant must be at least 30 years old and not exceed 65 years of age by the final day for submitting the application.

2. Must have passed at least a bachelor's level in any subject from a recognized educational institution and have worked continuously for at least ten years in the establishment, development, protection, enhancement, and promotion of the Nepali film industry; or have passed the proficiency certificate level or equivalent and have worked continuously for at least ten years in the establishment, development, protection, enhancement, and promotion of the Nepali film industry.

3. Must not be disqualified for appointment under prevailing laws.

4. Interested individuals meeting the above qualifications should submit the following documents along with their application to the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology:

(a) Application indicating the desire for the appointment,

(b) Personal details (Bio data) including qualifications and experience,

(c) Copy of Nepali citizenship certificate,

(d) Copies of educational qualification certificates (if the qualification is from a foreign educational institution, an equivalence certificate must also be included),

(e) Copies of experience certificates (indicating the duration of service),

(f) A sealed professional work plan in Nepali, prepared on A4 size paper with a maximum of 5000 words (computer typed, with the applicant’s name at the top of the cover page and no name or identifying mark elsewhere),

(g) Self-declaration that no permanent residency permit from any foreign country has been taken or held,

(h) Copies of any other relevant documents related to the position.

5. Educational qualifications and work experience certificates must be certified by a notary public.

6. The final date for submitting the application is the fifteenth day from the date of publication of this notice. If that day falls on a public holiday, then the next working day.

7. Submission location: Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Institution Coordination Branch, Singha Durbar.

8. Recommendations for appointment will be based on the evaluation of the professional work plan, its presentation, and an interview.

9. Incomplete applications or those not received within the specified time will not be processed.

10. Applicants must also submit a self-declaration of their qualifications. The format for the self-declaration can be obtained from the ministry's website at www.mocit.gov.np.
