Government of Nepal, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Radio Broadcasting Service Development Committee (Radio Nepal) Notice for Application for the Position of Executive Director
This notice is hereby published to invite applications from qualified Nepali citizens for the recommendation of appointment to the position of Executive Director of the Radio Broadcasting Service Development Committee (Radio Nepal).
Eligibility Criteria:
- The applicant must be at least 30 years of age and not exceed 65 years by the last date of application submission.
- Must have completed at least a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
- Must have experience working as Chief Editor, Editor, Publisher, or Manager of a registered media outlet, or have worked in an academic or policy-making position related to mass communication, or have at least seven years of experience in journalism and mass communication.
- Must have worked in at least an officer-level position in government service or a public institution, authority, board, committee, commission, foundation, or public company, or must be a retired individual from such a position.
- Must not have been penalized for violating the Journalist Code of Conduct.
- Must not be disqualified for appointment under the prevailing laws of Nepal.
Required Documents:
Interested candidates meeting the above qualifications must submit the following documents along with their application to the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology:
(a) Application indicating the interest in the position,
(b) Personal details (Bio-data) including qualifications and experience,
(c) Copy of Nepali citizenship certificate,
(d) Copy of educational qualification certificates (including equivalency certificate if the qualification is from a foreign educational institution),
(e) Copy of experience certificates (with the duration of service clearly mentioned),
(f) A sealed professional work plan of up to 5,000 words in the Nepali language, prepared on A4 size paper (typed, with the applicant's name on the top of the first page (Cover Page) only, and no identifying marks or name anywhere else),
(g) Self-declaration that the applicant does not hold or has not obtained a permanent residency permit from any foreign country,
(h) Copy of any other documents related to the position, if applicable.
Copies of educational qualifications and work experience certificates must be certified by a Notary Public.
Application Deadline: The seventh day from the publication date of this notice. If the last day falls on a public holiday, the next working day will be considered the deadline.
Application Submission Location: Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Institution Coordination Branch, Singha Durbar.
The recommendation for appointment will be made based on the evaluation of the submitted professional work plan, its presentation, and an interview.
Incomplete applications or those not submitted within the specified deadline will not be considered.
Applicants must also submit a self-declaration of their qualifications. The format for the self-declaration can be obtained from the ministry's website at www.mocit.gov.np.
