Support Nepal (SNP) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organisation working strategically address the injustice and inequality being faced by the poor and marginalised groups since 1996. The increasing focus of SNP has been on providing support to communities and developing processes that promote the inclusion of the poor and marginalised groups.

About the Project

With support from Plan International Nepal, Support Nepal implements Girls Standing Strong (GSS) Project, aiming at having the girls and young women in all of their diversity reach their full potential as equal and active citizens. The purpose of the project is to facilitate in harnessing the aspirations of children, adolescent and young women (CAY), especially girls and young women whereby they live and lead their life with dignity. The project will directly serve to end child marriage and force marriage. The project will be implemented in Dhanusha district of Madhesh Province.

Duration: Starting from September 2023, the initial contract will be for one year with likelihood of extension contingent on satisfactory performance and resource availability.

1) Project Coordinator(PC) - 1:

Minimum education and professional qualifications:

Master’s degree in Public Health, Social science, Development Studies, Education, International Development, Rural Development, or similar subjects with 3 years experience or Bachelor's degree with 5 years’ working experience in areas of early childhood development, youth empowerment, sexual reproductive health right, protection and knowledge on project cycle management and different aspect of integrated community development.A sound understanding of government systems and policies in related thematic areas, and hands-on experience in project monitoring in particular the rights-based approach (RBA) and result-based project cycle management (RB-PCM) will be added advantages.

2) Project Officer (PO) - 1:

Minimum education and professional qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Public health, Sociology, Social Work, Rural Development, Development Studies, or other fields with 3 years’ working experience in areas of integrated community development with a right based approach focusing on early childhood development, protection, girls and young women empowerment, and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).

3) GESI & MERL Officer (GMO) - 1:

Minimum education and professional qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Sociology, Rural Development, Development Studies or other field with 3 years’ working experience in GESI and 1 years’ experience in monitoring and evaluation, in areas of integrated community development, education, protection, girls and young women empowerment, and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR).

4) Administrative and Finance Officer (AFO) - 1:

Minimum education and professional qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in management/commerce, or related field with 3 years’ working experience in financial management and implementation of the project on a day-to-day basis including personnel, administrative compliance and support, and financial management of the project activities. Sound Knowledge in detail implementation plans, budget projection/ management, standard procurement system and practice, internal control system and practice, financial reporting, and practical knowledge of accounting software/applications will be added advantages.

5) Field Supervisors (FSs) - 6:

Minimum education and professional qualifications:

Intermediate/ +2, or technical education such as Staff Nurse/ Health Assistant /ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife)/CMA (Certified Medical Assistant with 2 years working experience as a field supervisor or community or social mobilizer in the integrated project of early childhood development, sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR) and protection. Local residents meeting the above minimum qualifications from Shahidnagar Municipality, Kamala Municipality, and Sabaila Municipality of Dhanusha district will be preferred.
