Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology Vacancy:
Nepal Eye Program, Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology, a center of excellence in comprehensive eye care service delivery including training; research; intraocular lens manufacturing facility; eye bank and community program is currently looking for qualified Nepali candidates to apply for the following research project.
Position 1
- Title of the project: Clinical Research Fellow' for 1 year followed by a position as consultant ophthalmologist for next one and half year in the same project.
- No. of requirement: 1
- Work Station: Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology.
- Research project description: Restoring visual function in Cortical visual impairment in children using non-invasive visual stimulation.
Qualification:
- Master in Ophthalmology from a recognized university.
Required Skills:
- Experience as an ophthalmologist with special interest in Pediatric Ophthalmology, Neuro-Ophthalmology, and neuroscience.
- Comfortable communicating in English (to be able to learn well at McGill University)and Nepali (to communicate with patients and guardians in Nepal).
- Able and eager to learn about the field of vision science.
Desirable:
- Mat lab Programming
- Strong mathematical background
Position 2
- Title of the Project: Research Trainee.
- Number of requirement:1
- Work Station: Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology.
Qualification:
- Bachelor in engineering or physics or similar quantitative field.
Required Skills:
- Biomedical engineering degree with interest in research will be preferred.
- Mat lab programming.
- Strong mathematical background.
- Comfortable communicating in English (to be able to learn well at McGill University) and Nepali (to communicate with patients and guardians in Nepal).
- Able and eager to learn about the field of vision science.
