Humanity & Inclusion previously known as Handicap International is an independent and impartial aid organization working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster alongside people with disabilities and vulnerable populations. For its new Inclusive Education Project focusing on out of school girls and girls with disabilities, HI Nepal invites applications from interested Nepali candidates to join TEAM HI Nepal for the following positions.

Position: Sr. Project Officer

  • Reports to: Project Coordinator
  • Of Positions: 1
  • Workstation: Country Office with field visits
  • Contract Duration: 3 years initially

Job Description:

  • Lead the technical aspect of project to support partners in planning and implementing project activities
  • Closely monitor the technical qualities of the project activities in the field and provide suggestions to partners
  • Support Project Coordinator for budget and financial management

Job Specification:

  • Master's Degree in Social Sciences or related field
  • 4-5 years of experience in Education/Inclusive Education
  • Interpersonal skill, Creative and strong team player with strategic, analytic thinking
  • Knowledge of education system and disability in Nepal

 

Position: Project Officer

  • Reports to: Project Coordinator
  • Of Positions: 1
  • Workstation: Country Office with field visits
  • Contract Duration: 3 years initially

Job Description:

  • Ensure accuracy and quality of partner financial reports
  • Provide logistic, coordination and communication support.
  • Ensure effective documentation including record of meeting minutes, project activity reports (meeting, workshop etc.) and disseminate upon Coordinator's validation.

Job Specification:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Management stream
  • 4-5 years of experience in project finance/accounts
  • Knowledge of budget management
  • Sound understanding of taxation rules and government compliance and strong eye for detail.

 

Position: Training Officer

  • Reports to: Project Coordinator
  • Of Positions: 1
  • Workstation: Country Office with field visits
  • Contract Duration: 3 years initially

Job Description:

  • Develop new training manual incorporating different aspects of inclusion
  • Develop tools/formats for pre and post training evaluations in coordination with project team
  • Conduct training assessments and deliver the trainings to different stakeholders as per the project plan

Job Specification:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in education/inclusive education/ special need education.
  • 4-5years' experience in developing training package/ manual and facilitating trainings.
  • Ability to coordinate with different education stakeholders

 

Position: Personalized Social Support (P55) Officer

  • Reports to: Project Officer
  • Of Positions: 1
  • Workstation: Country Office with field visits
  • Contract Duration: 3 years initially

Job Description:

  • Provide technical support in the area of PSS to ensure appropriate education and livelihood linkages for beneficiaries.
  • Develop tools and formats, share with partners and oversee its implementation.
  • Provide training to partners' staff and consortium partner staff to enhance knowledge of PSS approach and its implementation

Job Specification:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in education/inclusive education or related field
  • 4-5 years' experience in local resource mobilization, community mobilization & partnership
  • Hands on skills of psychosocial counselling preferably in multicultural context

 

Position: District Project Officer

  • Reports to: Project Officer
  • Of Positions: 1
  • Workstation: Banke with regular field visits
  • Contract Duration: 3 years initially

Job Description:

  • Lead the implementation of the project activities in the Municipalities.
  • Carry out regular field monitoring visits with an aim for improving project performance
  • Initiate/ facilitate exchanges and linkages across the different initiatives taking place in districts in terms of Inclusive Education

Job Specification:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in education/inclusive education or related field.
  • 4-5 years' experience in Education/ Inclusive Education preferably with adolescent girls and livelihood aspects
  • Strong training, coaching, mentoring and facilitation skills
