Department of Immigration Publishes Urgent Notice

Department of Immigration Publishes Urgent Notice for passengers arriving and departing from Nepal: As per the decision of the Government of Nepal (Council of Ministers) dated 2078-09-30, the following arrangements have been made for the movement of passengers as per the Travel Management Order 2078 of the passengers arriving and departing from Nepal. This information has been published for the information of all concerned.

1) How to obtain a visa for foreign nationals who have completed the amount of vaccination and the documents to be submitted for the same:

1.1) On-arrival Visa:

According to the prevailing law, an on-arrival visa will be issued to the citizens who have completed the amount of vaccine against COVID-19 in the country which can get an on-arrival visa. When applying for a visa at the immigration entry point in Nepal, such foreign nationals will have to submit the following documents in addition to other documents required for the visa: -

A) Evidence of completion of 14 days of vaccination against Covid-19,

B) Evidence that the Covid-19 test report was negative within 72 hours of being checked in for the flight,

C) Copy of permission for mountaineering and trekking and other matters for which permission is required,

D) Proof of hotel booking in Nepal,

E) log in to www.ccmc.gov.np (International Traveler Online Arrival Form).

1.2) Visas obtained from Nepali missions abroad:

Foreign nationals residing in the country concerned, or who wish to come to Nepal with a visa from a Nepali mission designated for the country concerned, who have completed the vaccination campaign against COVID-19, may apply for a visa at the concerned Nepali mission in addition to other documents required for visa. Documents as per (c) and (d) should also be attached. When such a foreign national enters Nepal, he / she will have to submit the evidence as per clause (b) and (e) of the case (1.1) at the immigration entry point in Nepal.

2) How to obtain a visa for foreign nationals who have not completed the amount of vaccine and the documents to be submitted for the same:

In case of foreign nationals who have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 / have not reached the day / have not completed the dose of vaccine or have completed the dose of vaccine, they will be allowed to visit Nepal only by obtaining a visa from the concerned country or designated for that country. In this way, while applying for the visa, in addition to other documents required for the visa, the documents as per clause (c) and (d) of the case (1.1) should also be attached. When such a foreign national enters Nepal, he/she will have to submit the evidence as per clause (b) and (e) of the case (1.1) at the immigration entry point in Nepal.
